Shaker Basket

These heirloom-quality baskets make beautiful accent and display pieces in the home. The boxes are hand crafted in selected solid hardwoods, utilizing box joint joinery reminiscent of the Shaker tradition and craftsmanship. The edges are eased, inviting one to handle the piece and enjoy the warmth of the wood and the softness of the lines. The bottom is solid wood, and is secured in a dado to ensure stability and longevity. The handle is fashioned of steam-bent ash wood to provide a graceful and strong means of lifting the basket. Each basket is hand-finished utilizing an old Shaker recipe suitable for showing foods such as fruits or nuts and the like. Treat your senses and your home to a timeless item of the past, an item which will delight the owner or recipient of this gift.
As may be specified for your order at right, different available wood species can be mixed for a very attractive look.
Our traditional Shaker Baskets are made in the following dimensions:
