Sony TC-55 Tape Recorder & Walkman WM-EX102 . Japan. Overall appearance is very good on both units except for paper sticker residue on TC55. Original adapter on TC55 is very good. No adapter with Walkman, no earphone with either. In a brief test the TC55 works but slips a little, the Walkman doesn't turn tape at all but motor is running. Sony STA-10 solid state "FM Stereo Adaptor", 9 transistor and SSA-10 "Audio Amplifier", 4 transistor. Overall appearance is very good. It is a multiplex adapter with a speaker and amplifier in the STA unit, the SSA unit has a speaker and amplifier. The covered wood cases are both solid and in very good condition needing only some cleaning . Backs are excellent. Front panels are excellent except for a little dirt and a couple scratches on the SSA. The dark marks seen on the grille cloth come off easily with a wet rag, the redish spots require a little more work. Both units require 8 "D" cells or AC adapter, neither included. Battery tubes included with STA but not with SSA. Very clean inside except minor rust on SSA battery holders, none on STA. No cables included except the MPLX in and out cables which are attached. Covered wood cabinet with metal corners is solid, covering a little loose at seams but should be an easy fix. No rust on cabinet hardware except 2 spots on the bottom. Front panel & all markings are excellent. Handle is excellent. Original power cord is excellent. Didn't pull the chassis but looking through the vent I see little or no visible chassis rust. Black vinyl covered metal case is very good to excellent but could use light cleaning. Dial is excellent. Front panel is very good, 2 minor dings. All markings on front panel & rear panel are excellent. Previous owners name engraved on bottom. Chassis has light dust, no rust. Easily tuned many FM stations in extended test, no hum, excellent reception. I used this in my shop for 4 months, it works very well. Received AM also but weaker because of my location. Right faux wood grain side is excellent but left side shows much wear, it's worn very smooth. Fiberboard bottom is excellent. Dial is excellent.
