Throughout the years their sound involved into a more mature mixture of heavy weight Hardcore with Brutal Death Metal, often compared to bands such as SKINLESS, MISERY INDEX, ALL SHALL PERISH, DYING FETUS. / MOKER -> MOKER was founded early 2003 by two members of local metalcore band LINCHPIN who wanted to play more extreme and brutal stuff and above all less hardcore-oriented. So it was only logical to play Death Metal. The band's distinctive approach mainly seems to come forth from the original and hard pounding style the drummer uses. Together with only one yet very capable Death Metal guitar player, an interesting combination is forged. The band's first effort "Outcast / Moker" ( a splitcd with the eponymous former band ) was released on Shiver Records in 2006 and showcased the band's potential. One year later the band saw the opportunity to have their first full album "Translating The Pain" being released by Shiver Records once more. Moker actually means 'sledge hammer', and that is exactly what the latest record is about : a full frontal cranial punch that keeps resonating long after it has been delivered.
