Fields, Names and Order for DB

The following is the present field order and names when you do a download or upload of the product data database. If your field numbers start with zero then add one to the field numbers. New fields may be added at a later date to enable enhanced features.

When choosing a delimiter make sure to not use anything that is in the data or the database will become corrupted. Thus the comma and "%" should be avoided. Good delimiters are "|", "\t" for a tab, and "^". If your database can handle it, it is recommended to use the default delimiter of "|" since that is what is used internally in King Cart.

FIELD #	NAME	D E S C R I P T I O N
0	• product_id	A unique number for that product, normally the line number it is on. Usually is an incrementing number starting with "1", but can be non-sequential as long as it is unique. Maximum is 100,000.
1	• category	The product category for that item
2	• price	The price for that product
3	• product name	The short description of the item
4	• image_url	The path and name of the image to display written as an html tag. I.E. for the image not avalable icon you would use notavailable.gif or <IMG SRC="%%URLofImages%%/notavailable.gif" BORDER=0> and for an image on your own system you would use http://yourdomain.com/path.image.gif or <IMG SRC="http://yourdomain.com/path/image.gif" BORDER=0> The second form gives you control of other attributes such as the size and border.
5	• description	The long description of the item
6	• shipping	The shipping weight or cost in dollars
7	• user1	The user defined field one
8	• user2	The user defined field two
9	• user3	The user defined field three
10	• user4	The user defined field four
11	• user5	The user defined field five
12	• options	The options html filename. Note: The filename must end in .htm or .html, or .html will be appended.
13	• taxable	Item taxable; "yes" and "no" are the only allowed values
14	• inventory control	"N" for no control, "Y" for control, "B" for control with B/O allowed
15	• inventory	The inventory; can be negative, must be a number.
16	• coupon code	The coupon code if any for that item.
