Ford 100E Identification Guide

The Engine Number is the same as the chassis number. On early models it is stamped on the left hand side of the cylinder block, near the oil filler tube. On later models it is stamped on the cylinder block immediately above the generator mounting bracket.

The Chassis Number is stamped around the right hand front suspension unit upper mounting. Prefixes 100E, 103E, 107E & 300E were used for RHD vehicles. LHD vehicles have a 101E, 108E or 301E prefix.

Why is this Information Necessary:

Due to the diversity of British cars and their age, it is not uncommon to find features that have been changed or modified by previous owners. With the passage of time, in some cases, these changes/modifications may be difficult to spot and appear to be original. To provide the correct part for your English Ford vehicle, it is essential that you provide accurate identification information of your vehicle.
